Progress 96 Cargo Spacecraft Lifts off to Resupply Station on Saturday
The unpiloted Roscosmos Progress 96 spacecraft is safely in orbit and on its way to the International Space Station after launching at 9:33 a.m. EDT (6:33 p.m. Baikonur time) on a Soyuz rocket from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
The spacecraft is scheduled to dock autonomously at approximately 9:46 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, to the Poisk module's space-facing port. NASA will stream the spacecraft's arrival live through a variety of platforms. Learn where to watch online: https://www.nasa.gov/live
Progress 96 is delivering about three tons of food, fuel, and supplies to the orbiting laboratory.
