MOLNIYA 3-27, also known as Molniya-3, is a communication satellite with the OBJECT_ID 1985-117A and was launched on December 24, 1985, from PLMSC using a Molniya 8K78M launch vehicle. The spacecraft measures 3.6 meters in length and has a diameter of 1.6 meters with a span of 8.1 meters. It had a launch mass of 1750 kg and operated for approximately 3 years. Manufactured by NPOPM, the satellite was used for communication purposes and is owned by GUKOS/MSVYAZ. Its power system includes six deployable solar arrays providing 1000 W and batteries.
