Additional information MOLNIYA 1-80

The MOLNIYA 1-80 satellite, also known as Molniya-1, was launched on February 15, 1991, from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome LC43/3 launch pad using a Molniya 8K78M launch vehicle. It belongs to the Molniya-1T series and has a configuration known as KAUR-2. With dimensions of 4.4 meters in length and 1.4 meters in diameter, it also features an 8.6-meter span due to its solar arrays. The satellite had a dry mass of 1620 kilograms and a launch mass of 1670 kilograms. Its purpose was for communication, and it was equipped with six deployable solar arrays and batteries for power. The spacecrafts shape is cylindrical with six panels, and it has an RCS value of 10. MOLNIYA 1-80 was manufactured by NPOPM (NPO Mashinostroyeniya) and operated for a lifetime of approximately three years. Its motor type is the KDU-414A (S5.114). The satellites payload is identified as Molniya-1T No. 89L, and it was owned by UNKSR.
