MOLNIYA 3-41, also known as Molniya-3, is a communication satellite launched on September 17, 1991, from the Plesetsk Launch Site, LC43/4, using the Molniya 8K78M launch vehicle. The spacecraft has dimensions of 3.6 meters in length and 1.6 meters in diameter with a span of 8.1 meters. It had a dry mass of 1,700 kg and launched at a mass of 1,750 kg. The satellites configuration is KAUR-2, designed for communication purposes, manufactured by NPOPM (NPO Mashinostroyeniya), and operated with solar arrays providing up to 1,000 watts of power along with batteries.
