MOLNIYA 1-88, also known as Molniya-1T, is a communication satellite operated by VKS and launched on December 14, 1994, from the PLMSC launch site using a Molniya 8K78M launch vehicle. It has dimensions of 4.4 meters in length and 1.4 meters in diameter with a span of 8.6 meters. The satellites dry mass is 1620 kg, and it was launched with a total mass of 1670 kg. It features six deployable solar arrays for power generation and has an RCS (Reaction Control System) area of 16.2814 square meters. Its shape consists of a cylinder plus six panels, and its purpose is to facilitate communication missions. The satellite was manufactured by NPOPMR and uses the KDU-414A (S5.114) motor for propulsion. MOLNIYA 1-88 has a mission lifetime of three years.
