ORBCOMM FM07, also known as Orbcomm A3, is a MicroStar configuration satellite built by OSCG for communication M2M/IoT purposes and owned by ORBC. It was launched on December 23, 1997, from ERAS launch site using the Pegasus XL/HAPS launch vehicle. The satellite has dimensions of 0.2 meters in length, 1 meter in diameter, and a span of 4.3 meters, with a dry mass of 42 kg. Equipped with an Orbcomm payload and powered by two deployable solar arrays and batteries, ORBCOMM FM07 was intended to operate for approximately four years following its launch from the ERAS site on pad RW04/22. The satellites shape is described as cylindrical with two panels and antennas, and it has a radar cross-section (RCS) of 0.472 square meters.
