GLOBALSTAR M004, also known as Globalstar M004, is a communication satellite launched on February 14, 1998, from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station Launch Complex 17A using the Delta 7420-10C launch vehicle. Manufactured by LOR for GLOBT (Globalstar), this spacecraft has dimensions of 1.5 meters in length and a diameter of 0.6 meters with a span of 12 meters due to its deployable solar arrays. The satellites dry mass is 380 kg, and it had a launch mass of 450 kg. It was designed for a communication mission and equipped with batteries alongside the solar arrays for power generation. The spacecraft has a box shape with two panels and an RCS (Reaction Control System) area of 2.2994 square meters. Its operational lifetime was projected to be approximately 7.5 years.
