GLOBALSTAR M002 is a communication satellite, also known as Globalstar M002, with the OBJECT_ID 1998-008C and NORAD_CAT_ID 25164. It was launched by the United States on February 14, 1998, from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station using a Delta 7420-10C launch vehicle from Launch Pad LC17A. The satellite has dimensions of 1.5 meters in length and 0.6 meters in diameter, with a span of 12 meters when deployed. It weighs 380 kilograms dry and had a launch mass of 450 kilograms. Manufactured by LOR, it is part of the GLOBALSTAR constellation and serves as a communication satellite equipped with two deployable solar arrays for power generation. The satellite has an expected lifetime of 7.5 years. Its shape consists of a box design augmented by two panels. It was owned by GLOBT at launch and carries the payload Globalstar FM2.
