GLOBALSTAR M003 is a communication satellite launched on February 14, 1998, from Cape Canaveral Air Force Stations Launch Complex 17A using the Delta 7420-10C launch vehicle. The spacecraft measures 1.5 meters in length and has a diameter of 0.6 meters with a span of 12 meters due to its deployable solar arrays. It was manufactured by LOR for Globalstar (GLOBT) and carries the payload named Globalstar FM3. At launch, it had a mass of 450 kg and a dry mass of 380 kg. The satellites design includes batteries in addition to its power system and has a predicted lifetime of 7.5 years.
