GLOBALSTAR M015 is a communication satellite launched by the US on April 24, 1998, from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station using a Delta 7420-10C launch vehicle. The spacecraft measures 1.5 meters in length and has a diameter of 0.6 meters with a span of 12 meters. It had a dry mass of 380 kilograms and weighed 450 kilograms at launch. Equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries, it was designed to operate for approximately 7.5 years. The satellites configuration is LS-400 and was manufactured by LOR (Lockheed Martin). It carries the payload Globalstar FM15 for communication purposes. The shape of the spacecraft is described as a box with two panels and has a radar cross-section (RCS) value of 2.2545 square meters.
