GLOBALSTAR M008 (also known as Globalstar M008) is a communication satellite launched on April 24, 1998, from Cape Canaveral Air Force Stations Launch Complex 17A using the Delta 7420-10C launch vehicle. The spacecraft, manufactured by LOR (Loral), has dimensions of 1.5 meters in length and 0.6 meters in diameter with a span of 12 meters. It was equipped for its communication mission with a dry mass of 380 kg and had a total launch mass of 450 kg, powered by two deployable solar arrays and batteries. The satellites design consists of a box shape with two panels and has an RCS (Reaction Control System) of 2.4271. Its mission was expected to last for approximately 7.5 years, and it was owned by GLOBT (Globalstar).
