GLOBALSTAR M038, also known as Globalstar M038, is a communication satellite manufactured by LOR and owned by GLOBT. Launched on February 9, 1999, from TYMSC LC1 using the Soyuz-U-PVB launch vehicle, it has a configuration of LS-400 with dimensions including a length of 1.5 meters, diameter of 0.6 meters, and span of 12 meters. The satellites dry mass is 380 kg, and its launch mass was 450 kg. It utilizes two deployable solar arrays for power generation along with batteries. GLOBALSTAR M038 is equipped with the LS-400 AOCS motor and has a box shape with two panels, a radar cross-section (RCS) of 2.158 square meters, and was designed to have a lifetime of 7.5 years. Its purpose and mission are for communication purposes as part of the Globalstar constellation.
