GLOBALSTAR M043 is a communication satellite launched on July 25, 1999, from Cape Canaveral Air Force Stations SLC17A pad using the Delta 7420-10C launch vehicle. The spacecraft, manufactured by LOR and owned by GLOBT, measures 1.5 meters in length with a diameter of 0.6 meters and spans 12 meters when its solar arrays are deployed. It has a dry mass of 380 kg and weighed 450 kg at launch. The satellite is powered by two deployable solar arrays and batteries. Its mission is to facilitate communication, and it features an LS-400 AOCS motor for attitude control. GLOBALSTAR M043 has a predicted lifetime of 7.5 years and has a radar cross section (RCS) of 2.017 square meters.
