GLOBALSTAR M039, also known as Globalstar M039, is a communication satellite launched by LOR on November 22, 1999, from the TYMSC launch site using Soyuz-U-PVB as the launch vehicle. The spacecraft has a configuration of LS-400 and measures approximately 1.5 meters in length with a diameter of 0.6 meters and a span of 12 meters. It was deployed for communication purposes with an expected lifetime of 7.5 years. At launch, it had a mass of 450 kilograms and featured two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power generation. The satellites dry mass is recorded as 380 kg and its shape is described as Box + 2 Pan, with a radar cross-section (RCS) value of 2.3619 square meters. It was owned by GLOBT and carried the Globalstar FM39 payload for communication missions.
