ORBCOMM FM32, also known as Orbcomm D4, is a communication satellite with a Microstar configuration manufactured by OSCG for ORBCOMM (ORBC). It was launched on December 4, 1999, from the ERAS launch site using a Pegasus XL/HAPS vehicle. The satellite measures 0.2 meters in length and has a diameter of 1 meter with a span of 4.3 meters due to its solar arrays. Its dry mass is 44 kilograms, which was also its launch mass. Equipped for Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) communication, ORBCOMM FM32 uses deployable solar arrays and batteries for power. The satellites shape consists of a cylinder with two panels and antennas, designed to last approximately four years in orbit.
