GALAXY 11 (G-11), also known as Galaxy 11, is a communication satellite manufactured by HSES and owned by PAN. Launched on December 22, 1999, from ELA2 launch pad at FRGUI using an Ariane 44L launch vehicle, the satellite has a bus configuration of HS-702 and a body shape described as Box + 2 Pan. It features 6.2 meters in length, a diameter of 3.3 meters, and spans 34 meters with its solar arrays. Equipped with 64 active transponders (24 C-band, 40 Ku-band), GALAXY 11 has a dry mass of 4400 kg and was launched with a total mass of 4484 kg. Its power system includes two deployable solar arrays and batteries. The satellites mission is communication, and it has an expected lifetime of 15 years.
