AMC-11 (also known as AMC 11) is a communication satellite manufactured by LMCSS and owned by AMCS. It was launched on May 19, 2004, from the Air Force Eastern Test Range using an Atlas IIAS launch vehicle from SLC36B pad. The satellite has a configuration of A2100A with dimensions: length of 6 meters, diameter of 3.6 meters, and span of 26 meters. It weighs 907 kg in dry mass and had a launch mass of 2315 kg. AMC-11 is equipped with 24 C-band transponders for communication purposes and uses two deployable solar arrays along with batteries for power supply. The satellite was designed to have a lifetime of 15 years but operated for up to 22 years, outperforming its design specifications.
