INTELSAT 11 (IS-11), also known as Intelsat IS-11, is a communication satellite owned by INTELD and manufactured by OSCD. Launched on October 5, 2007, from ELA3 at FRGUI using an Ariane 5GS launch vehicle, it operates with a Star-2 Bus configuration. The satellite measures 4.1 meters in length, has a diameter of 2.3 meters, and spans 22.4 meters. It weighs 1145 kilograms dry and had a launch mass of 2450 kilograms. Equipped with 18 Ku-band and 16 C-band transponders and powered by two deployable solar arrays and batteries, IS-11 was designed for a 15-year lifetime to provide communication services. Its shape consists of a box structure complemented by two panels, giving it a radar cross-section (RCS) of 23.7915 square meters.
