Launched on June 19, 2008, from the Kodiak Launch Complex (KYMSC), LC107 using a Kosmos 11K65M launch vehicle, this satellite is owned by ORBC and manufactured by OHB/POLK. The Sterkh Bus-based satellite measures 1.3 meters in length with a diameter of 0.6 meters and a span of 1.5 meters. It has a dry mass of 91 kilograms and the same launch mass, indicating it carries no additional fuel or payload beyond its operational equipment. Equipped with an Orbcomm payload and AIS-receiver for communication purposes, ORBCOMM FM29 uses two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power generation.
