The COSMOS 2447 [GLONASS-M], also known as Kosmos-2447, is a navigation satellite launched on December 25, 2008, from the TYMSC launch site using the Proton-M/DM-2 vehicle. It uses a 3-Axis stabilized Uragan-M bus and was manufactured by RESH for KVR/IACG. The satellite measures 4 meters in length with a diameter of 1.5 meters and spans 7.8 meters, featuring two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power. Its dry mass is 1200 kg, while its launch mass was 1450 kg. Equipped with the Uragan-M No. 27L payload, it serves navigation purposes as part of Russias GLONASS system and has an expected operational lifetime of 7 years.
