COSMOS 2448 [GLONASS-M], also known as Kosmos-2448, is a navigation satellite launched by Russia on December 25, 2008. It uses the Uragan-M bus and has a configuration of a 3-Axis stabilized platform. The satellite measures 4 meters in length with a diameter of 1.5 meters and spans 7.8 meters. Its dry mass is 1200 kilograms while its launch mass was 1450 kilograms, powered by two deployable solar arrays and batteries. Launched from the TYMSC site on LC81/24 using the Proton-M/DM-2 vehicle, COSMOS 2448 has a designed lifetime of 7 years. The satellite is owned by KVR/IACG and manufactured by RESH with its primary mission being navigation support as part of the GLONASS constellation.
