SES-1 is a communication satellite owned by SESSL, manufactured by OSCD and based on the OSC Star 2.4 bus configuration. Launched from TYMSC at LC200/39 using a Proton-M/Briz-M launch vehicle on April 24, 2010, SES-1 has a dry mass of 1,180 kg and was launched with a total mass of 2,561 kg. The satellite is equipped with 2 deployable solar arrays and batteries for power supply, featuring 24 active C-band transponders, 24 Ku-band transponders, and Ka-band transponders.
