The BEIDOU-2 IGSO-1 satellite, also known as Beidou DW 5, was launched on July 31, 2010, from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center using a Chang Zheng 3A launch vehicle. The spacecraft is part of Chinas BeiDou navigation system and has a bus configuration based on DFH-3 with dimensions including a length of 3 meters, diameter of 1.7 meters, and a span of 18 meters when solar arrays are deployed. It has a dry mass of 1300 kg and was launched at a mass of 2300 kg. The satellite is equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power generation. Its primary purpose is navigation support as part of the BeiDou-2 constellation, with an expected operational lifetime of 8 years. The satellite is owned by CNSA (China National Space Administration) and was manufactured by CAST (China Academy of Space Technology).
