GLOBALSTAR M085 is a communication satellite with NORAD catalog ID 37742 and object ID 2011-033D, launched on July 13, 2011, from the TYMSC launch site using Soyuz-2-1A as the launch vehicle. It was manufactured by THALR for GLOBL (Globalstar) and is equipped with a BUS Prisma configuration and ELiTeBus-1000 design. The satellite measures 4 meters in length, has a diameter of 2 meters, spans 12 meters, and has a dry mass of 500 kilograms. It is powered by two deployable solar arrays providing an initial power output of 2.4 kW and 1.7 kW at end-of-life, along with batteries. Its equipment includes 16 C-to-S-band transponders and 16 L-to-C-band transponders for communication purposes. The satellites shape is a trap cylindrical body with two panels and has a cross-sectional area (RCS) of 5.0038 m?. The motor used for attitude control is LS-400 AOCS. Its mission is to provide communication services, with an expected lifetime of 15 years.
