GLOBALSTAR M081, also known as Globalstar M081, is a communication satellite operated by GLOBL and manufactured by THALR under the BUS Prisma configuration. Launched on July 13, 2011, from TYMSC Launch Complex 31 using the Soyuz-2-1A launch vehicle, this satellite has a dry mass of 500 kg and carries a payload named Globalstar-2 FM11. Its structure is described as a Trap Cyl + 2 Pan shape with dimensions including a length of 4 meters, diameter of 2 meters, and span of 12 meters. The satellites equipment consists of 16 C-to-S-band transponders and 16 L-to-C-band transponders, powered by two deployable solar arrays generating up to 2.4 kW at beginning-of-life (bol) and 1.7 kW at end-of-life (eol), complemented by batteries for energy storage. The satellites mission is to provide communication services with an expected operational lifetime of 15 years.
