GLOBALSTAR M084 is a communication satellite launched on December 28, 2011, from the Tyuratam Space Center using a Soyuz-2-1A launch vehicle. The spacecraft measures 4 meters in length with a diameter of 2 meters and a span of 12 meters. It has a dry mass of 500 kilograms and was launched with a total mass of 715 kilograms. Equipped with 16 C-to-S-band transponders and 16 L-to-C-band transponders, it is designed for communication purposes and is part of the Globalstar constellation. The satellites power system includes two deployable solar arrays capable of generating 2.4 kW at beginning of life (bol) and 1.7 kW at end of life (eol), along with batteries for energy storage. It was manufactured by THALR and owned by GLOBL, with a projected lifetime of 15 years. The satellites shape is characterized as a trap cylinder with two panels, and it has a radar cross-section (RCS) value of 4.6037 square meters.
