BEIDOU-2 G5 (also known as Beidou DW 11) is a navigation satellite launched by CNSA on February 24, 2012, from Xichang Satellite Launch Center, using the Chang Zheng 3C launch vehicle. The spacecraft measures 3 meters in length with a diameter of 1.7 meters and a span of 18 meters when deployed. It has a dry mass of 1,700 kg and a launch mass of 3,060 kg. Powered by two deployable solar arrays and batteries, the satellite is equipped with the FY-25 motor and utilizes the DFH-3 Bus configuration manufactured by CAST. The mission aims to provide navigation services as part of the Beidou system, with an expected operational lifetime of 8 years.
