GLOBALSTAR M097 (also known as Globalstar M078) is a communication satellite launched on February 6, 2013, from TYMSC LC31 using the Soyuz-2-1A launch vehicle. The satellite, manufactured by THALR and owned by GLOBL, has dimensions of 4 meters in length, 2 meters in diameter, and spans 12 meters when deployed. It features a dry mass of 500 kg and was launched with a total mass of 715 kg. Equipped with an LS-400 AOCS motor and two deployable solar arrays providing up to 2.4 kW (bol) and 1.7 kW (eol), the satellite is part of the Globalstar constellation, carrying 16 C-to-S-band transponders and 16 L-to-C-band transponders for communication purposes. Its designed lifetime spans 15 years.
