ORBCOMM FM109, also known as Orbcomm FM109, is a communication satellite manufactured by SNVL and owned by ORBC. It was launched on July 14, 2014, from AFETRs LC40 using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle. The satellite has a configuration of the SN-100A bus with dimensions of 1 meter in length, 0.5 meters in diameter, and a span of 13 meters when deployed. It carries an Orbcomm payload and an AIS-receiver for M2M/IoT communication and traffic monitoring purposes. The satellite has a launch mass of 172 kg, with a dry mass of 158 kg. It is equipped with deployable solar arrays and batteries for power generation. ORBCOMM FM109s shape consists of a box configuration with panels and antennas, and it has an RCS value of 0.442.
