INTELSAT 34 (IS-34), also known as Intelsat IS-34, is a communication satellite owned by INTELU and manufactured by SSL. It was launched on August 20, 2015, from the ELA3 launch pad at the Guiana Space Centre using an Ariane 5ECA launch vehicle. The satellite has dimensions of 5.6 meters in length, a diameter of 3 meters, and a span of 24.7 meters when its solar arrays are deployed. It features 10 C-band transponders and 40 Ku-band transponders for communication purposes. Its dry mass is 1800 kg, with a launch mass of 3300 kg, and it is powered by two deployable solar arrays and batteries. The satellites configuration is based on the Spacebus-4000C3 platform and has an expected lifetime of 15 years.
