The BEIDOU-2 IGSO-6 satellite, also known as Beidou DW 22, was launched on March 29, 2016, from Xichang Satellite Launch Centers LC2 pad using the Chang Zheng 3A launch vehicle by CNSA. It is part of the DFH-3 Bus configuration and has dimensions of 3 meters in length, 1.7 meters in diameter, and a span of 18 meters when its solar arrays are deployed. The satellite has a dry mass of 1300 kg and was launched with a total mass of 2300 kg. It is powered by two deployable solar arrays and batteries. Its mission is for navigation purposes, and it is equipped with the FY-25 motor. The spacecrafts shape can be described as a box with two panels. With an expected lifetime of 8 years, BEIDOU-2 IGSO-6 operates in support of the Beidou Navigation Satellite System constellation.
