The COSMOS 2516 [GLONASS-M], also known as Kosmos-2516, is a Russian navigation satellite launched on May 29, 2016, from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome using the Soyuz-2-1B launch vehicle. It operates with a 3-Axis stabilized Uragan-M bus and has dimensions of 4 meters in length, 1.5 meters in diameter, and a span of 7.8 meters when solar arrays are deployed. The satellites dry mass is 1200 kg, with a launch mass of 1450 kg. It is equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power generation. Its mission lifespan is projected to be seven years, and it was manufactured by RESH (Russian Space Systems). The payload is the Uragan-M No. 53L, designed for navigation purposes.
