GSAT0214 (GALILEO 18), also known as GalileoSat-18, is a navigation satellite launched on November 17, 2016, from the Guiana Space Center using an Ariane 5ES launch vehicle. The satellite, part of the SmartMEO configuration and manufactured by OHB, has dimensions of 2.7 meters in length, 1.6 meters in diameter, and a span of 14.5 meters. It carries a Galileo Navigation payload and MEO SAR equipment for its mission purposes. With a dry mass of 700 kilograms and a launch mass of 738 kilograms, the satellite is powered by two deployable solar arrays and batteries. Its shape consists of a box with two panels, and it has a RCS (Reflective Cross Section) of 8.5742. The spacecrafts expected lifetime is 12 years. It operates in orbit for navigation purposes under the ownership of GSAEU (Galileo Satellite Association European Union).
