IRIDIUM 105 (also known as Iridium Next SV105) is a communication and traffic monitoring satellite manufactured by OATKGA for IRIDS (Iridium LLC). It was launched on January 14, 2017, from AFWTR SLC4E using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle. The satellite measures 3.1 meters in length with a diameter of 1.5 meters and spans 9.4 meters. Equipped with L-band payload, Ka-band cross-links, downlinks, ADS-B payload, and an AIS-receiver, the satellite has a dry mass of 700 kg and a launch mass of 860 kg. Its power source includes two deployable solar arrays and batteries. The satellite is designed for a lifespan of 10 years with plans to extend it up to 15 years.
