IRIDIUM 112, also known as Iridium Next SV112, is a communication and traffic monitoring satellite operated by IRIDS (Iridium LLC) and manufactured by OATKGA (OneAtlas Technology Group). Launched on January 14, 2017, from AFWTR (Air Force Western Test Range) SLC4E using the Falcon 9 launch vehicle, it has a design lifetime of 10 years with a planned operation extending up to 15 years. The satellite measures 3.1 meters in length and 1.5 meters in diameter, with a span of 9.4 meters. It has a dry mass of 700 kg and was launched with a mass of 860 kg. Equipped with L-band payload, Ka-band cross-links, downlinks, ADS-B payload, and AIS-receiver (part of a constellation where 58 satellites are equipped), it uses two deployable solar arrays for power along with batteries to ensure continuous operation. The satellites shape is described as a half hexagonal prism with two panes, and its radar cross-section is 2.652 square meters.
