IRIDIUM 111, also known as Iridium Next SV111, is a communication and traffic monitoring satellite manufactured by OATKGA for IRIDS (Iridium). Launched on January 14, 2017, from AFWTR SLC4E using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle, the satellite has dimensions of 3.1 meters in length, 1.5 meters in diameter, and spans 9.4 meters with its deployable solar arrays and batteries for power supply. It weighs 860 kg at launch and is designed to have an operational lifespan of up to 15 years. The satellites configuration includes L-band payload, Ka-band cross-links and downlinks, as well as ADS-B payload and AIS-receiver capabilities. Its shape is described as a half hex prism with two panels, and it has a radar cross-section (RCS) value of 2.6291 square meters.
