IRIDIUM 120, also known as Iridium Next SV120, is a communication and traffic monitoring satellite owned by IRIDS (Iridium). It was launched on June 25, 2017, from AFWTR SLC4E using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle. With dimensions of 3.1 meters in length, 1.5 meters in diameter, and a span of 9.4 meters, the satellite has a dry mass of 700 kg and launched with a total mass of 860 kg. Equipped with an L-band payload, Ka-band cross-links and downlinks, ADS-B payload, and AIS-receiver (part of a fleet of 58 satellites), IRIDIUM 120 is powered by two deployable solar arrays and batteries. Its design life expectancy is 10 years, though it is planned to operate for up to 15 years. The satellite has a configuration known as ELiTeBus-1000 and was manufactured by OATKGA (Other Aerospace Technologies & Knowledge Generating Agency).
