Launched on October 9, 2017, from AFWTR SLC4E using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle, the satellite has a design life of 10 years with plans for an extended operation up to 15 years. It measures 3.1 meters in length and 1.5 meters in diameter, with a span of 9.4 meters. The dry mass is recorded at 700 kilograms, while the launch mass was 860 kilograms. Equipped with L-band payload, Ka-band cross-links, downlinks, ADS-B payload, and an AIS-receiver, it utilizes two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power supply. Its shape is described as a half hex prism with two panels.
