IRIDIUM 119, also known as Iridium Next SV119, is a communication and traffic monitoring satellite operated by IRIDS (Iridium). Launched on October 9, 2017, from AFWTRs SLC4E pad using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle, it has a design life of 10 years with plans for an extended operational lifetime up to 15 years. The satellite features a BUS type EliteBus and configuration ELiTeBus-1000, measuring 3.1 meters in length and 1.5 meters in diameter, with a span of 9.4 meters. It has a launch mass of 860 kg and a dry mass of 700 kg. Equipped with L-band payload, Ka-band cross-links, Ka-band downlinks, ADS-B payload, and an AIS-receiver, it uses two deployable solar arrays for power along with batteries. The satellites shape is described as Half Hex Prism+2 pan.
