IRIDIUM 107 (also known as Iridium Next SV107) is a communication and traffic monitoring satellite launched on October 9, 2017, from Vandenberg Air Force Base SLC4E using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle. The spacecraft has dimensions of 3.1 meters in length, 1.5 meters in diameter, and a span of 9.4 meters. It is equipped with L-band payload, Ka-band cross-links and downlinks, an ADS-B payload, and AIS-receiver (part of a set on 58 satellites). The satellite has a dry mass of 700 kilograms and was manufactured by OATKGA for the owner IRIDS. Power is supplied through two deployable solar arrays and batteries. Its design life expectancy is 10 years with plans for an extended operation up to 15 years.
