IRIDIUM 136, also known as Iridium Next SV136, is a communication and traffic monitoring satellite operated by IRIDS. It was launched on October 9, 2017, from AFWTR SLC4E using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle. The spacecraft has dimensions of 3.1 meters in length, 1.5 meters in diameter, and spans 9.4 meters with its deployable solar arrays. It weighs 860 kg at launch and 700 kg dry mass. Equipped with an L-band payload for communication, Ka-band cross-links, downlinks, ADS-B payload, and AIS-receiver, IRIDIUM 136 is part of a constellation designed to operate for up to 15 years. The satellite uses two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power.
