IRIDIUM 139, also known as Iridium Next SV139, is a communication and traffic monitoring satellite built by OATKGA for IRIDS (Iridium LLC). Launched on October 9, 2017, from AFWTR SLC4E using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle, the satellite has dimensions of 3.1 meters in length, 1.5 meters in diameter, and a span of 9.4 meters. It features an EliteBus configuration with a dry mass of 700 kg and was designed for a 10-year lifetime but planned for up to 15 years. Equipped with L-band payload, Ka-band cross-links and downlinks, ADS-B payload, and AIS-receiver, the satellite is powered by two deployable solar arrays and batteries. Its shape is described as Half Hex Prism+2 pan.
