The GSAT0215 (GALILEO 19), also known as GalileoSat-19, is a navigation satellite launched on December 12, 2017, from the Guiana Space Center using an Ariane 5ES launch vehicle. With dimensions of 2.7 meters in length and 1.6 meters in diameter, it features a dry mass of 700 kilograms and was equipped with a Galileo Navigation payload and MEO SAR equipment for its mission purposes. The satellite is part of the SmartMEO configuration and was manufactured by OHB. It operates with two deployable solar arrays and batteries to provide power and has a design life of approximately 12 years. Owned by GSAEU, this Box+2 pan-shaped satellite serves navigation functions within the European Unions Galileo system constellation.
