The satellite IRIDIUM 135 (also known as Iridium Next SV135) was launched on December 23, 2017, from AFWTR SLC4E using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle. It is owned by IRIDS and manufactured by OATKGA. The satellites configuration is ELiTeBus-1000 with dimensions of 3.1 meters in length, 1.5 meters in diameter, and a span of 9.4 meters. Its dry mass is 700 kg, while the launch mass was 860 kg. Equipped with an L-band payload, Ka-band cross-links and downlinks, and ADS-B payload (along with AIS-receiver on some satellites), it serves communication and traffic monitoring purposes. The satellites power source includes two deployable solar arrays and batteries. Its design lifetime is planned for up to 15 years, though the designed lifespan is 10 years.
