IRIDIUM 137, also known as Iridium Next SV137, is a communication and traffic monitoring satellite operated by IRIDS. It was launched on December 23, 2017, from AFWTR SLC4E using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle. The spacecraft measures 3.1 meters in length with a diameter of 1.5 meters and spans 9.4 meters when fully deployed. Weighing 860 kg at launch, its dry mass is 700 kg. It is equipped with L-band payload, Ka-band cross-links and downlinks, ADS-B payload, and an AIS-receiver for traffic monitoring purposes. The satellites power source includes two deployable solar arrays and batteries. Its design aims for a 10-year operational lifetime with plans to extend up to 15 years. Manufactured by OATKGA, the satellite is part of the EliteBus configuration series.
