IRIDIUM 145, also known as Iridium Next SV145, is an American communication and traffic monitoring satellite manufactured by OATKGA. Launched on March 30, 2018, from Vandenberg Air Force Base (SLC4E) using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle, it has a design lifetime of 10 years with plans for extended operation up to 15 years. The satellite features the EliteBus configuration, measures 3.1 meters in length and 1.5 meters in diameter, with a span of 9.4 meters. It weighs 860 kilograms at launch and has a dry mass of 700 kilograms. Its payload includes an L-band payload, Ka-band cross-links, downlinks, ADS-B payload, and AIS-receiver (one of 58 satellites equipped). Power is provided by two deployable solar arrays and batteries. The satellites shape is described as a half hexagonal prism with two panels.
