IRIDIUM 146, also known as Iridium Next SV146, is a communication and traffic monitoring satellite owned by IRIDS and launched on March 30, 2018, from AFWTR SLC4E using the Falcon 9 launch vehicle. It has a configuration of ELiTeBus-1000 with dimensions including a length of 3.1 meters, diameter of 1.5 meters, and span of 9.4 meters. The satellites dry mass is 700 kilograms and its launch mass was 860 kilograms. It carries L-band payload, Ka-band cross-links, downlinks, ADS-B payload, and an AIS-receiver (part of a set on 58 satellites). Power is provided by two deployable solar arrays and batteries. Its shape is described as Half Hex Prism+2 pan, with a planned operational lifetime of up to 15 years beyond its designed lifespan of 10 years. The satellite was manufactured by OATKGA for communication purposes and traffic monitoring.
