GSAT0219 (GALILEO 23), also known as GalileoSat-23, is a satellite designed for navigation purposes and was launched on July 25, 2018, from the Guiana Space Center using an Ariane 5ES launch vehicle. Manufactured by OHB, it has dimensions of 2.7 meters in length, 1.6 meters in diameter, and spans 14.7 meters when its solar arrays are deployed. The satellites dry mass is 700 kilograms, with a launch mass of 715 kilograms. Equipped with the Galileo Navigation payload and MEO SAR equipment, GSAT0219 relies on two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power generation. Its mission lifetime is projected to be around 12 years, serving as part of Europes Galileo satellite navigation system under ownership by GSAEU.
