IRIDIUM 154, also known as Iridium Next SV154, is a communication and traffic monitoring satellite operated by IRIDS (Iridium LLC). Launched on July 25, 2018, from AFWTR SLC4E using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle, the satellite has dimensions of 3.1 meters in length, 1.5 meters in diameter, and spans up to 9.4 meters when fully deployed. It is equipped with an L-band payload, Ka-band cross-links and downlinks, as well as ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance?Broadcast) and AIS (Automatic Identification System) receivers for traffic monitoring. The satellite has a dry mass of 700 kg and a launch mass of 860 kg. It is powered by two deployable solar arrays and batteries, with an operational design lifetime of 10 years but planned to last up to 15 years. Manufactured by NGISGA (Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems), the satellite has a half hex prism shape with two panels and supports communication services as part of its mission objectives.
