HORIZONS-3E (Horizons 3e) is a communication satellite launched by HORZ on September 25, 2018, from ELA3 launch pad at the Guiana Space Centre using an Ariane 5ECA launch vehicle. The satellite measures 7 meters in length and has a diameter of 3.3 meters with a span of 35 meters due to its solar arrays. It was manufactured by BOES and equipped with C-band and Ku-band high-throughput transponders for communication purposes. At launch, the satellite had a mass of 6441 kilograms and is expected to have a mission lifetime of 15 years. Its power system includes two deployable solar arrays and batteries. The spacecrafts configuration is based on the BSS-702MP bus and has a dry mass of 3000 kilograms.
